TRANSLOADING

TRANSLOADING SERVICE LEVELS

TRANSFLO has experience transferring more than 300 products and currently operates over 50 terminals throughout the eastern U.S. and Canada. We specialize in consistent, safe transloading at every one of our terminals. TRANSFLO terminals offer three service levels to accommodate your needs; Premium Service, Value Service and Self Service.  For all service levels a Customer Delivery Specification will be written and approved by the customer and TRANSFLO prior to the start of service, which will outline specific requirements.

Premium Service Level

The premium service level is available for liquid and dry products. The transfer is conducted by TRANSFLO terminal personnel only, trained in safe handling and control for your product, using equipment and procedures tailored to your requirements. In addition, TRANSFLO:

  • Inspects inbound and outbound rail cars and trucks

  • Scales the trucks in and out

  • Verifies right car-right truck and proper setup

  • Places seals on rail cars and trucks as required

  • Provides the truck bill of lading

  • Maintains your inventory

Value Service Level

Value service is available for dry, non-hazardous products upon approval. With value service, the product is transferred by a motor carrier with a self-loading truck. TRANSFLO:

  • Inspects the rail cars and trucks, inbound and outbound

  • Scales the trucks in and out

  • Verifies right car-right truck and proper setup

  • Places seals on rail cars and trucks as required

  • Provides the truck bill of lading

  • Maintains your inventory

Self Service Level

The Self Service level is only available for dry products and non-hazardous products, pending approval. Self-loading liquids or hazardous materials is not permitted. With Self Service, the product is transferred by a motor carrier, using a self-loading truck. The motor carrier must supply all equipment and appropriate spill containment and use experienced, trained personnel who know the safety requirements for the specific loading and unloading operations being performed. The motor carrier is required to adhere to all FRA operating and safety requirements, including railcar inspections, blue-flag protection, and railcar securement.
